Do they absorb? No. Can you wipe your hands on them? Yes (but it's like wiping on computer paper).

Do they make your table cute? Sure do! And that's why I got them. As long as your kid isn't as observent as mine, who unfolded the napkin only to realize that each napkin is a large square, (folded in half horizontally and vertically making 4 smaller squares) and that too-dee doesn't appear on any of the 4 squares. Poor too-dee! Other than that - it made for an attractive table at my two-year-olds party.

I was really excited to find these to go along with other items at my daughter's Yo Gabba Gabba themed birthday party. The napkins were durable; I like that the package included 16 napkins, which was more than enough. Main thing is that when I viewed this product online I thought that the package included napkins with each character presented individually. Then when I got the package I only saw Muno and Brobee. The napkins actually depict Muno, Brobee, Plex, and Foofa; when unfolded each character is on a quarter of the napkin (this is what is pictured in the second view of the item when you view the images). In order to showcase each character I refolded the napkins so that it looked as though I had napkins for each Yo Gabba Gabba character. Great buy.
